《希望樹 The Wishing Trees》

作品說明:
長久以來,人們把願望畫成圖形符咒、懸掛、轉動,希望能夠實現。

堅韌不褪的彩色鈦片,轉印了民眾手繪的願景意符,隨風旋轉,映照天光,永久懸掛在中央辦公署前,隨時鼓舞為民服務。
男女各一的人形樹,象徵國家的主體──人民,支撐著政府組織──希望是井然有序、方正不阿的。
分立南北路口,與路樹共同遮陰,和路燈一起照明。

不是藝術家主觀的造型演出,沒有集於自身的聚光燈,這是照亮環境、融合多元民意的公共藝術。

For a lang time, people have used talismans to meet their desires, hanging turning, expecting their wishes to come true.

The unfading color-anodized titanium leaves, with the wishing icons drawn by people, rolling, shining in the wind and the sun, are permanently hung in front of the goverment office, to encourage the civil servants all the time.

The woman and man humanoid trees symbolising the people support the structure of the goverment.

Standing separately in the north and south corners of the street block, both of the two Wishing Trees provide shading together wish road trees, and illuminate along wish street lights.

Without spotlights focusing on the artworks themselves, those are public arts that light up the environment for people.

《文化‧向心 Culture&Centripetal Forc》

In the shape of an apple symblic of fruitful achievments of civilization advance, and through the centeiptal axis, this master piece depicts human’s thought and intelligence, expounding the engraved parallel leverage and its embodiment.
Through the multifaceted interaction with the sited enviroment, buliding landscape and this art itself.

《樂活之城 City of Good Living》

『人字拖』,它自然散發著自由、閒逸、樂活的氣息。總給人慢活、縱情縱心、恣意的意象。
本創作以大型人字拖為創意出發點,輔以色彩鮮明的樂高型式,加入山水自然元素的堆砌,象徵大家一起建構出一座充滿智慧、活力、健康多元的自然樂活之城,象徵新莊副都心的多元繽紛發展,將帶給我們更愜意、便利自在的生活。

Flip Flops invoke a sense of freedom, leisure, and peace.
Thay echo a relaxed pace of life as well as a sence of indulgence and freedom.
This artwork is based on the imagery of a large flip flop. With vibrant colors and a Lego-like form, it incorporates lelment of nature to symbolize a lively city that inspires a smart,happy way of life. Furthermore, it presents ths dynamic development of Xinzhuang Fuduxin, as well as the comfortable and convenient lifestyle it offers. healthy, and convenient lifestyle it offers.

《暢流 Free Flow》

公共藝術以開展的流線造型,將「流暢」、「通達」、「溫馨」及政府與民眾親和連結的「幸福願景」融入作品的美學形式中,闡揚「多元文化融合邁向公民社會」為民喉舌、情感交融的美學象徵。

The public art work is sculpted with broad streamline,combining the ideas of "moothness","thoroughness","warmth",and"the prospects of we-being"(as envisioned into an aesthetic form-to create an artistic symbol of "marching toward a civil society via multiculturalism", that is, speaking up for and feeling with the people.

《幻化(位於北棟) 偶得(位於南棟) Illusion of Change》

作品說明:
作品整體設計是以工整的磚紅色方形塊體,結合位於中央具有豐 富色彩的自由造型體而成。深入探究造型的意義,位於中央的方形凹洞中,其多變的彩色實體在不鏽鋼材質的背景鏡面中所形成的虛像,成為空間中色塊的虛實對比;中央凹形方洞中以材質細緻的斷熱磚所呈 現的彩色塊體,又與外框的粗獷的正方形陶塊,產生質感上的明顯對應。整體而言,21 片方正陶土塊工整的排列,及方洞中塊體的多彩變幻,象徵自然大地的厚實與大地中豐富精彩的蘊藏。

本作品是由 24 片圓角正方形陶片所構成,每塊陶片的正面造型,依藝術家的創意發想設計出不同的凹凸圖樣,這些圖樣並沒有事先設計規劃,而是在創作的過程中,靈光一閃所決定的圖形樣式。它是一個直覺的、随興的圖樣,也是常在日常生活中不經意會出現的圖樣,每個圖樣也不具有特定的意義,但感覺上是熟悉的、親切的,依據每 個人的成長經驗與記憶,看見這些符號也會產生不同的情感或感受, 同時也可讓觀賞者發揮自由想像的空間。

In terms of shape, this work presents a contrast between neat square brick-red blocks and colorful free shapes at the center. The colored blocks in the central square hole and the images reflected in the background mirror-finish create an appealing color contrast. The texture of the exquisite colors also provides a clear contrast with the rough square ceramic shapes that form the outer frame. On the whole, the careful, neat arrangement of the 21 square ceramic pieces and multiple changes of color symbolize.

This piece is made up of 24 square ceramic pieces with rounded corners. The front of each piece is decorated with different carved patterns that were not predesigned or planned, but rather determined in flashes of inspiration during the creative process. These are instinctive, random shapes that often appear unconsciously in daily life. Although none of them have a fixed meaning they all feel familiar, creating a space in which the imagination of the viewer can take flight.

《花之圓舞曲 Waltz of Flowers-Flower joy melody and visual arts feast》

A1-公共藝術設置地點選擇四根大圓柱子,呼應(新莊)的文化多樣性與包容性特色。綠廊國際會議廳前廳柱列可容納兩百人的會議空間,將有來自各地的人集中於此開會, 前廳是與會者休憩、討論、聚集之處,四根大柱子與弧形牆面,由藝術家整體規劃創作。
A2-以四幅「花之圓舞曲」隱含歡迎大家 呼應本會議門廳的意象。以四幅花之圓曲呼應本會議空間為與會者休憩、討論、聚集之處 。就如同到了夏威夷總有一個美麗的花環歡迎遊客的到來。正是花之組曲色彩鮮艷,「歡迎大家」的含意,呼應本會議門廳的意象。
A3-將花之圓舞曲展現於四大圓柱,構成視覺藝術的饗宴與視覺藝術的表演舞台,呼應本會議廳的建築意象。本國際會議前廳創造喜悅及美麗若隱若現的花朵,展現耀眼的色彩構成音符的旋律與節奏,亦和花柱象徵與暗喻,似具象又非具象的展現勾線的技法與強烈造型,無限的欣欣向榮。
A4-以獨創的公共藝術令人賞心悅目,呼應服務在地民眾的使命。玻璃數位印刷應用,是本人獨自創新的公共藝術,融合版畫、素描、水彩、雕塑、陶藝、 歷經二十年以上經驗、具有濃厚的創意與現代感,不僅可細細品昧,令人讚嘆駐足。
B-弧牆上以8幅漸層馬賽克掛圖,象徵四對舞者環繞 花之圓舞曲圓柱翩翩起舞。
C-弧形拱門,象徵四對舞者舞向光明未來。

A1-Four huge round columns have been selected for the installation of the public art, in order to reflect the cultural diversity and inclusiveness of the town of Xinzhuang, The international convention hall in the green corridor can accommodate two hundred people coming from various areas to meet here for conference. The vestibule outside the conference room is a space where the participants of the meeting take a rest, engage themselves in discussions, or just socialize. The four large round columns and the curved wall form an ideal space where a group of artists collaborate to realize an ensemble of public art befitting the convention center.
A2-The four panels of “Waltz of Flowers” symbolize a warm welcome extended to all who arrive here for topical discussions, cultural exchanges or leisure activities. Much as the Hawaiians present a beautiful lei to a tourist on his/her arrival, the brilliantly-colored floral suites on the pillars greet guests arriving for cultural and social interchanges.
A3-The exuberant floral patterns fixed onto the four columns provide a feast of visual ar t which, by means of their chromatic deployment and linear drawings, arouse an aesthetic experience the way musical notes do as they are translated into melodies and rhythms in the performances of vocalists and instrumentalists. At once symbolical and metaphorical, representational and non-representational, this flowering display is a visual poem celebrating unlimited growth, perennial prosperity and eternal joy of life.
A4-This is an original work of public art conceived and realized in accordance with the mission of the establishment, a mission, namely, to render service to the local public. The application of digital inkjet printing onto glass mosaic is a form of art the artist has created independently. It conjoins printing, drawing, watercolor, sculpture and ceramics into one unified whole. This technique did not come to maturity and fruition until after repeated experiments over a period of more than twenty years. A work of art thus created has an eye-catching beauty and a compelling modernity. This first impression is to be followed by attentive contemplation among the spectators in their efforts to identify what’s what in the abstract patterns and suggestive lines.
B-Eight gradated mosaics on the cur ved wall symbolize four pairs of dancers waltzing around the flowers on the round columns.
C-The Arch is a pictorial metaphor of the four pairs of dancers waltzing toward a bright future.

《光點新視界 POINT OF VIEW》

作品說明:
「光」一直是藝術家雷‧金創作公共藝術將近四十年來所關注的核心議題。白天是作品與自然光移動軌跡之間相互生成的變化,晚上則是作品與人造電子光照明設計之間整體光雕的成果。
作品〈光點新視界〉由1000多件彩晶鍍膜玻璃元件陣列叢組而成。整體作品吊掛在綠廊中央大廳半空,由下往上,對應廳內主要的迴旋樓梯動線及扇囊形的大廳立體空間,是一座弧錐開展的晶瑩迴旋裝置。
玻璃經青黃色鍍膜膠合後,入射光順視角移動可由青色轉藍色轉呈洋紅色,反射光則呈現橘色到黃色的光譜色光。
這些光線變化的設計,就像是每天太陽在天空中運行的軌跡,光束映照在水面的粼粼波光,反射在周邊;在牆上、在天花、在地板,光點軌跡漫延,靈活在行進交錯的變換豐富的時空中。這些高科技的金屬鍍膜處理,是由NASA太空總署研發的技術。
多樣多變的入射反射光,成就了作品〈光點新視界〉裝置的流光美感。片片懸浮晶透叢集的橫條元件,流光與琉璃共舞,迴旋妝點彩光繽紛、打造幻美豐富的敘事空間情境,意圖詮釋一座開展新視野、塑造獨特標誌性和認同感的新時空地標,共享共有的公共空間藝術創作。

For the past 40 years, Ray King is the artist who focuses on light creation to surrounding space. During the day, the light go through the art peice to create a dynamic interaction with viewers; at night, the piece can be illuminated by electric light system.
Consisted of 1500 dichroic glasses, the art piece "POINT OF VIEW" is hanged in the hallway ceiling. Along with the spiral stairs and the fan shaped hall, from the top to bottom, the glasses fan out as a unique oblique half-cone shape. These glasses require speical cyan/ gold coating, in order to create the color shifting from different visual angles. The color on glasses can shift from cyan to blue to magenta, with the spectrum refrections range from orange to gold.
The refrections of the glasses mirror the orbit of sun. Along with the moving sun light, these shadows and projections shift with time, scattering around the walls, ceilling, and floor, moving like water reflecting the light. All the result is from delicate design eyes and NASA glass coating technology.
POINT OF VIEW achieves as an art peice which marinates glass composition with projection and refrection. The floating glasses compose to spiral lines, reflect the light, and create a dreamy environment to the public, in order to expand a distinguishable landmark which can be shared and told by generations.

《多樣與融合 Diversity and Harmony》

這件作品希望能象徵台灣土地上的最初的原住民、後來移居的漢民族,及來自世界各國的新移民,象徵台灣這個國際色彩濃厚、多樣的民族大熔爐。
由造型色彩迥異的雕塑單體集結成這次的公共藝術。每一種文化、每一個人都相互尊重、融合,讓豐富的台灣文化綻放出與眾不同的花朵,懷抱著這樣的期許所製作。
這次的陶雕作品以土為素材。土是支撐人類的大地、是種植農作物的田地、也是國家具體呈現的園地,是人們共同的故鄉與依歸。以土為基底創作,各式各色的雕塑作品一同盛開,象徵著台灣美好璀璨的理想未來。

This public art work symbolizes the first inhabitants of Taiwan, later Han Chinese immigrants, and new migrants from countries around the world. It also reflects the international flavor and multicultural melting pot of Taiwan.
The piece is made up of different shaped and colored sculptures. Bringing together divergent cultures and peoples in mutual respect. Showcasing the uniqueness of Taiwanese culture in all its glory.
This ceramic sculpture is made from clay.A product of the land that provide succor, the fields in which crops are grown, and a physical representation of the nation - the shared home of the people. Using clay as the foundation of the work, the blossoming of the many-shaped and multicolored sculptures, symbolizes the wonderful future that awaits Taiwan.

《錦繡大地上交織出的成熟社會 Embroidery in a Mature Society - Homage to Needle and Thread》

這件作品,抱著最純粹的誠意手工製作,以紅和藍為主軸,加上其他各式色彩交織呈現。提醒著我們不要忘記,在中央合署辦公大樓中,為了國民誠心誠意、勤勉不懈的國家公務員們應有的精神,以及這個美麗而幸福的成熟社會,是由大家各司其職共同打造而成。
紅與藍,代表著躍動感、與自然的共生, 代表著由大家相互扶持、彼此切磋磨合後所形成的社會。
民眾在工作坊中縫繡而成的織品由藝術家親手融合於作品之中,為這次的公共藝術共譜出一段美妙的交響樂章。

This work is imbued with the sincerity of handicraft work. Although mainly red and blue, it is a cacophony of other colors. Reminding us of all those public officials in central government office buildings striving for the good of the nation and its people. Our beautiful mature society has been built by such individuals giving their all.
Red and blue, represent a sense of vibrant energy and coexistence with nature, highlighting the mutual support and consensus it takes to build a society. The artist takes embroidery pieces created by visitors to her workshop, and makes them an integral part of the work. Ensuring this public art piece gives voice to an exquisite symphony of artistic joy.
